Privacy Policy

Last updated October 24, 2026

Seamless is a tool for laying out photos across Instagram carousel slides, on the web and in our iPhone app. This policy covers both, and explains what we keep about you, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we keep what we need to save your projects and sign you in, we don’t sell it, we don’t show ads, and you can delete it all at any time.

What we collect

  • Account details. Your email address and name. If you sign up with a password we store only a salted hash of it, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address and an account identifier from them. With Apple you can choose to hide your email, and we then only see a private relay address.
  • Your projects. The photos you add, at their original resolution, plus your layouts, text, preview thumbnails and any custom fonts you upload. We need these to save your work and let you open it on any device.
  • Purchase details. If you buy a paid plan, Stripe sells it to you on our behalf and handles the payment. We receive your plan, its price and status, your country (for tax) and the type and last four digits of your card, never the full card number. If you buy in the iPhone app, Apple sells it to you through the App Store and handles the payment: we never see your card or Apple Account details. Apple sends us a signed record of the purchase and later notices about it (the product, when it was bought, when it renews or ends, and whether it was refunded), linked to your Seamless account so Pro works everywhere you sign in.
  • Sign-in and security data. A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and for sign-in and password-reset attempts, your IP address and the email used. We use these only to stop abuse such as password guessing, and delete the attempt records within a day.
  • Technical logs. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived request logs (such as IP address, time and the page requested) to run and protect the service. If Seamless hits an error in your browser, it sends us a short error report (the error message, the page and your browser type, not your photos or projects) so we can fix it. It also sends a few anonymous notes about how features are used, such as an export’s format and size or how many photos a Lightroom import brought in, without your account, name or project.
  • Usage statistics. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t store anything on your device and doesn’t track you across other sites. It tells us things like how many people visited a page, from which country and on what kind of device.

We don’t use advertising, tracking cookies or third-party analytics trackers, and we don’t look at your photos except when you ask us for help, or when we have to in order to comply with the law or enforce our Terms.

What stays on your device

Splitting a panorama without an account happens entirely in your browser: the photo is never uploaded. When you’re signed in, your browser also keeps a copy of recent photos so projects open quickly, plus your preferences. Signing out clears the photo copies. If you connect Adobe Lightroom, the sign-in token for it is kept in your browser.

The iPhone app works the same way: it keeps copies of recent photos, your projects and your preferences on your phone so they open quickly and work offline, and signing out or deleting the app removes them. It only asks for access to your photo library when you save an export there: it adds the exported slides and, if you allow it, keeps them together in a “Seamless” album. It doesn’t read or upload the rest of your library; photos you pick to add to a project are uploaded like any other.

How we use it

  • To provide Seamless: store and sync your projects, render and export your carousels, and sign you in.
  • To bill you for a paid plan you choose, and to keep the records tax law requires.
  • To email you about your account, such as password resets. We don’t send marketing emails unless you opt in.
  • To keep the service secure and working, and to enforce our Terms.

We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use your photos to train AI models.

Services we rely on

These companies process data for us, only as needed to run Seamless:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, database and file storage for your account and projects, error logs, and cookie-free usage statistics.
  • Stripe (including Link, its checkout): selling paid plans as the merchant of record, which means taking the payment and handling sales tax and VAT, only if you buy one. Stripe uses your payment details under its own privacy policy, and if you choose to save them with Link, Link keeps them for you.
  • Apple: selling paid plans in the iPhone app through the App Store, which takes the payment and handles sales tax and VAT. Apple uses your payment details under its own privacy policy.
  • Resend: sending account emails such as password resets.
  • Google and Apple: only if you choose to sign in with them.
  • Adobe Lightroom and Dropbox: only if you connect them to import photos. Their sign-in happens on their sites, and we receive only the photos you choose to import. Lightroom requests pass through our server because Adobe requires it, but we don’t store them.

Seamless’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a successor if Seamless is ever sold or merged, under this same policy.

How long we keep it

  • Projects and photos stay until you delete them. Photos no project uses any more are removed within about a week.
  • Deleting your account removes your account, projects, photos and fonts straight away. Database backups that may still contain it expire within 30 days.
  • Stripe and Apple keep their own purchase and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually up to 10 years), even after you delete your account. Our copy of your purchase records goes with your account.
  • Sessions expire on their own, and sign-out ends them immediately.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your projects at any time, export your carousels at full resolution, download a copy of everything we hold about your account (Download my data, in Account settings on the web and in Account in the iPhone app), and delete projects or your whole account from those same places. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California) you may also have the right to access, correct, move or erase your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. We process your data to provide the service you asked for (performing our contract with you) and, for security, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping Seamless safe. Records of purchases are kept because tax law requires them.

Who we are

Seamless is run by Brian Lowen, who is the data controller responsible for your information. Contact: hello@seamlesscarousel.com.

Security and location

Everything travels over encrypted connections, passwords are hashed, and each account’s files can only be read by that account. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we’ll tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

Children

Seamless isn’t meant for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change applies.
