Seamless carousel canvas size
For one picture that runs across the slides, design on a canvas as wide as all of them together: 1080 px times the number of slides. Then cut it every 1080 px.

Setting it up in Canva or Photoshop
Canva
- Create a design at a custom size from the table, e.g. 5400 × 1350 px.
- In the File menu, use Add guides to add one column per slide, with no gap.
- Design across the guides, then download one PNG.
- Cut it into slides with the panorama splitter.
Photoshop
- File › New at the size from the table.
- View › Guides › New Guide Layout: one column per slide, gutter 0.
- With the Slice tool, choose Slices From Guides.
- File › Export › Save for Web (Legacy) to save every slide.
Skip the maths. Seamless sets the canvas, shows the seams and exports every slide at the right size.

Mistakes that show in the post
A thin line between slides
The canvas isn’t an exact multiple of 1080, so the cuts land between pixels.
Everything cropped to a square
Instagram cropped the slides when you picked them. Tap the crop button before you go on.
Words cut in half
Text sitting on a seam splits across two slides. Keep it clear of the cut, or run it across on purpose.
Soft, blurry slides
Slides under 1080 px wide are enlarged by Instagram and lose detail.
